The Education Committee is responsible for helping raise the level of professionalism of the Minnesota mortgage community by providing opportunities for continuing education to Association members and non-members. Classes offered often include RML School, MN Law and Ethics, Credit Scoring, Loan Processing and RESPA. The committee also coordinates and facilitates bi-monthly informational breakfast meetings where the latest industry topics are discussed. You will receive a certificate worthy of framing, receive an MMS pin, as well as be allowed to use the designation in marketing themselves, i.e., business cards, letterhead, brochures, etc. To maintain the designation, they are required to provide sixteen (16) hours of continuing education credits every 3 years. One of the classes must include a Law and/or Compliance course. The CEU's will come from MMA-sponsored classes and any other courses pertaining to the industry outside of MMA, but approved as acceptable by MMA.
